This week, Julie Fudge Smith and Colleen Pelar talk with Mary Graham, a dog trainer who specializes in therapy dogs. She’s an evaluator who helps qualify and register dog-and-handler teams for Pet Partners.
Mary shares her tips for identifying whether therapy work is right for your dog–and for you. In addition, she talks about the skills that handlers needs to be the best advocate for their dogs and provides a list of trained behaviors that come in handy during therapy visits.
