Favorite guest of the show Emily Breslin is back, this time to dive deeper into a topic we briefly touched on the last time she was here- your dog’s gut microbiome. Though it may not be something we think about a lot, our dog’s gut contains its own complex ecosystem that affects almost every aspect of their health. Tune in to find out more about this crucial, if often neglected, aspect of canine health and learn how you can help support it.
Emily Breslin is a dog trainer, retired veterinary technician, Certified Professional Canine Nutritionist (CPCN), and host of The Dog Who Asked for More—a podcast helping dog parents find calm, confidence, and connection through training, enrichment, and nutrition that actually work in real life.
With over 30 years of hands-on experience working with animals, Emily helps pet parents understand the why behind their dog’s behavior, gut health, and emotional needs. Her nutrition programs teach families how to build balanced, confidence-boosting meals without fear, guilt, or confusion—so mealtime becomes part of healing, not stress.
Now, she’s taking her mission on the road. Through her upcoming RV tour, Emily will be traveling cross-country to connect with pet parents, trainers, and rescues in person—sharing real stories, recording podcast episodes on the road, and building a movement for dogs and their people.
Her message is simple: every dog is communicating, every family deserves peace, and no one should have to figure it out alone.
